Project Overview
The SR 9 Marsh Road to 2nd Street Vicinity Widening project is a major transportation infrastructure improvement led by WSDOT to enhance roadway capacity, bridge infrastructure, and corridor safety through the City of Snohomish. The project includes roadway widening along SR 9, construction of retaining walls, drainage and stormwater improvements, pavement rehabilitation, erosion control measures, and significant bridge related improvements at multiple structures along the corridor. Major structural components include work associated with the Snohomish River Bridge and overflow bridge structures, including bridge deck rehabilitation, bridge painting, pile installation, ground improvement systems, traffic barriers, and approach slab construction.
Transcon-specific scope of work
Transcon coordinated with the prime contractor and project stakeholders to support the installation of roadway electrical and dry utility infrastructure associated with the SR 9 corridor improvements. Scope of work included installation of conduit systems, traffic signal infrastructure, roadway lighting components, and underground utility coordination required to support roadway widening and bridge improvement activities throughout the corridor. Additional work included coordination with civil and structural construction operations to maintain project sequencing, traffic control integration, and safe roadway operations during construction. Through coordination with multiple agencies and trades, Transcon contributed to the successful delivery of critical transportation infrastructure improvements supporting enhanced roadway safety and long term corridor reliability.
