Project Overview
This SR 167 project upgraded the existing toll system to a dynamic Express Toll Lanes system adding 21 corridor miles of photo tolling to the 167/405 corridor. The project also added auxiliary lane capacity, and updated the CCTV and traffic monitoring systems.
Transcon-specific scope of work
Transcon installed new underground infrastructure and fiber distribution cable throughout the 21-mile corridor, removed the old toll system, upgraded the illumination systems, and installed new ITS infrastructure including:
- 16 Dynamic Pricing Toll Rate Signs
- 117 Traffic Monitoring Loops
- 10 CCTV Cameras & Poles
- 87 ITS & Toll System Cabinets
- 36 Transformer Cabinets & 5 Service Cabinets
